After five years and hundreds of stories and opinion columns, Health News Colorado is closing today. Some of our funders have changed direction and we were unable to fill the gap, so Senior Writer Katie Kerwin McCrimmon and I will be moving on.
We want to thank our readers, contributors, sources, funders, our terrific advisory committee and our hosts at the CU-Denver School of Public Affairs.
It has been our privilege to engage Coloradans on the important issues involved in health policy.
So here’s to low premiums, easy online sign-ups, declining obesity rates, integrated care, the human microbiome, football without concussions, healthy school lunches, underused emergency rooms, overcrowded running trails, vaccination, meditation, perspiration and universal access to … recess.
To your continued good health, Colorado. Cheers.
